In short
EnDocs AI converts a PDF into an editable Word (.docx) document by rebuilding its text, images and tables from the page layout. PDFs with real text convert best; scanned image-only PDFs have no text to rebuild.
What it is
What is PDF to Word?
A PDF describes where each piece of text sits on a page, not paragraphs. Converting to Word means reading that layout and rebuilding it as editable paragraphs, tables and images.
The result is a regular .docx you can open in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice, edit, and save again as a PDF.
Try saying
“Convert this PDF into an editable Word document.”
How to use it
PDF to Word in 3 steps
- 1
Upload your PDF
Drop your file in the box above or choose it from your device. No account is needed.
- 2
Ask for Word
Say "convert this to Word". You can limit it to certain pages if you only need part of the file.
- 3
Download the result
Your .docx is ready. Download it, or keep working on it in the same workspace.
Behind the scenes
How your file is processed
Layout is analysed, then rebuilt
Text blocks, images, tables and page sections are detected from the PDF and recreated as native Word elements, rather than pasted as one flat picture.
Images and styling are carried over
Embedded images are placed back in the document, and text keeps its size, weight and style wherever the document allows.
Best with text-based PDFs
If a PDF is just a picture of a page (a scan), there is no text layer to rebuild, so it will not come out as editable text.
Your file stays yours
- Files are deleted automatically about 60 minutes after upload, when your guest session ends.
- Names, numbers, emails and addresses are swapped for placeholders before text reaches an AI model, then restored in the reply.
- No account is created. Your guest session is the only thing that identifies your files.

Who uses it
When PDF to Word helps
Editing a contract draft
Change clauses in a PDF someone sent you without retyping it.
Reusing content
Lift text and tables out of a report into your own document.
Updating a CV
Edit an old resume that only exists as a PDF.
Accessibility and translation

Tips for better results
- Complex designs (many columns, text over images) may need a quick tidy-up after conversion.
- For a scan, check that you can select text in the PDF first. If you cannot, there is nothing to convert.
- Converting only the pages you need keeps the output simpler.
