Question 1

What is EnDocs AI?

Accepted Answer

EnDocs AI is a PDF workspace that runs in your browser. You upload a PDF, say what you want in plain words, and it merges, converts, compresses, summarizes it or answers your questions about it.

Question 2

What can I do with it?

Accepted Answer

EnDocs AI has 20 tools: AI PDF (chat with a PDF) and the Summarizer, five tools to organize pages (merge, split, delete, extract, rotate), compress, nine converters (Word, PowerPoint and several image formats) and three security tools (protect, unlock, watermark).

Question 3

Do I need an account?

Accepted Answer

No. You work in a guest session that starts when you upload your first file. There is nothing to sign up for.

Question 4

Is it free?

Accepted Answer

Yes, EnDocs AI is free to use while it is in beta.

Question 5

Do I need to install anything?

Accepted Answer

No. It runs in your browser on desktop, tablet and phone.

Question 6

How do I use a tool?

Accepted Answer

Open the tool page, upload your PDF and say what you want, for example "merge these with cover.pdf first". The result appears in your workspace, ready to download.

Question 7

Can I do several things in one instruction?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For example: "take pages 1-3 of report.pdf, add cover.pdf at the front, put a CONFIDENTIAL watermark on every page and protect the result with a password".

Question 8

Can I give instructions in my own language?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can write your instruction in the language you are most comfortable with.

Question 9

Can I speak my instruction instead of typing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The chat box has a microphone button for voice input in browsers that support it.

Question 10

Does the original file change?

Accepted Answer

No. Every result is saved as a new file and your upload stays as it was.

Question 11

Does PDF to Word keep the formatting?

Accepted Answer

It rebuilds your headings, paragraphs, images and tables as closely as possible. Very intricate layouts may need a quick tidy-up in Word.

Question 12

Can it convert a scanned PDF to editable text?

Accepted Answer

A scan is a picture of a page, so it has no text to rebuild. Conversion works best on PDFs that were created from documents and contain real text.

Question 13

Which image formats are supported?

Accepted Answer

JPG, PNG, SVG, WebP, TIFF, BMP and ICO. Each page becomes one image at 150 DPI, delivered together in a ZIP.

Question 14

Why can a converted file look different from the PDF?

Accepted Answer

A PDF places every element at a fixed position, while Word and PowerPoint flow content. Complex layouts can shift slightly when they are translated.

Question 15

What is the maximum file size?

Accepted Answer

Each PDF can be up to 25 MB. A larger file is rejected with a message; compress it elsewhere or split it first.

Question 16

How long are my files kept?

Accepted Answer

About 60 minutes, until your guest session ends. Download your results before then, because uploads and generated files are deleted automatically.

Question 17

Can I upload more than one PDF?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upload several PDFs to the same workspace and refer to them by name in your instructions.

Question 18

What about password-protected PDFs?

Accepted Answer

You need to give the password for EnDocs AI to open them. The Unlock PDF tool removes a password you already know.

Question 19

How are my files handled?

Accepted Answer

Files are used only to do what you ask, and they are deleted automatically about 60 minutes after upload. Connections use HTTPS.

Question 20

Does the AI see my personal information?

Accepted Answer

When text from your document goes to the AI model (for summaries and answers), names, email addresses, phone numbers and addresses are replaced with placeholders first and restored in the reply you read. Detection is automatic and can miss details.

Question 21

Are my files used to train AI models?

Accepted Answer

We do not allow our AI provider to use your content to train its models.

Question 22

Do you sell my data?

Accepted Answer

No. See the Privacy Policy for what we process and who helps us run the service.

Question 23

What cookies do you use?

Accepted Answer

One strictly necessary cookie for your guest session. Google Analytics is used only if you allow it, and you can change your choice any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer.

Question 24

What is AI PDF?

Accepted Answer

AI PDF lets you chat with a document. You ask a question in your own words and get an answer in plain language, and you can keep asking follow-up questions.

Question 25

What does the Summarizer do?

Accepted Answer

It turns a long PDF into a short overview and the key points. Longer documents are summarized in parts and then combined.

Question 26

Can the AI be wrong?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Check important details such as amounts and dates against the original document before you rely on them.

Question 27

Why can't I upload my PDF?

Accepted Answer

The usual causes are a file over 25 MB, a damaged PDF, or a lost internet connection. Check those and try again.

Question 28

Why did my conversion fail?

Accepted Answer

A password-protected file needs its password first, and very large or unusual PDFs can fail to convert. The message in the chat tells you the reason.

Question 29

My workspace disappeared. What happened?

Accepted Answer

Guest sessions last about 60 minutes, and files are deleted when they end. Start a new workspace and upload the file again.
